Additional things to sample:
In "Vaffelhuset" (the wafle house) you can find the only cherry softice in Denmark served with homemade ice cream cones; at the bakery "Clausens Efterfølgere" you can taste the Danish marzipan ring cake with cherry filling; at the city square you can enjoy fish cakes with cherry remoulade. In fact, throughout the Cherry Festival you have the opportunity to taste all kinds of different products - all based on the cherry. Why not try something special - like the cherry beer or cherry juice.
In "Kaffehuset" (the coffee house) at the Johannes Larsen Museum and in the garden of "Farvergaarden", you will find wonderful cafes that serve delicious cherry cakes.
Kerteminde is also a fishermans town meaning that there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy various foods and produce from the sea. Also, you will find samples from local breweries and famous restaurants from the area.
